Abstract:

Disclosed are data structure, a reproduction device, method, and a program which can be applied to each 3D display in common and which can make signal processing for giving the 3D displays easy. A 3D video format defines the use of a base signal (BS) of a side-by-side image (SbSP) and an optional signal (OS) of a sub image (SuP) generated by arranging and combining the following three images of an L image (LP) of the side-by-side image (SbSP) into one. The sub image (SuP) is configured from a Depth image of the L image, an image hidden in the background of an object within the L image, and a Depth image thereof. The data structure, the reproduction device, method, and the program can be applied to 3D displays.
