Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound having cholesterol lowering action in blood by ACAT inhabitation and useful for therapeutic agents for hyperlipemia, atherosclerosis, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [R1 and R6 are H, 1-5C alkyl, 1-5C alkoxy or halogen; R2 is H or 1-15C alkyl; R3 is 1-15C alkyl; R2 and R3 together form 2-9C methylene chain; R4 and R5 are 1-5C alkyl, 1-15C alkoxy or halogen; X is O or S; Y is O(CH2)lO or (CH2)p (l is 1-3; p is 3-5); m is 0-5; n is 0-3] e.g. 1-(2-(2,3-methylenedioxyphenyl)heptyl)-3-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-urea. Furthermore, this compound of formula I is obtained by condensing a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in a solvent such as benzene at 0-150°C.
