Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new compound having low toxicity and useful as immunoactivation agent, antitumor agent, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I (R1 to R3 are H or OH; l and m are 6-14), e.g. 2-deoxy-4-O-phosphono-2-tetradecanamide-1-O-tetradecanoyl-3-O- tetradecanoyl-α-D-glucopyranose. The compound of formula I can be produced by producing a compound of formula III [R6' is P(O)(OPh)2 (Ph is phenyl)] from a compound of formula II (R4 is OCH2C6H5) used as a starting raw material, dissolving the obtained compound of formula III in a solvent such as ethanol or acetic acid and hydrogenating the compound in the presence of a catalyst such as platinum oxide.
