PURPOSE: To provide the subject new 1,2,5-thiadiazole derivatives useful as an organic intermediate or an intermediate for synthesis of a medical and agricultural drug and to provide a production method capable of synthesizing them from readily available raw materials in high yields and of readily and safely introducing an arbitrary substituent group.
CONSTITUTION: 3-R2-4-R1-1,2,5-thiadiazole derivatives [In the formula, R1 is hydrogen atom, a tert-butyl group or -C6H3XY (X and Y are same or mutually different and denote hydrogen atom, fluorine atom, chlorine atom, trifluoromethyl group, a 1-6C alkyl group or a 1-3C alkoxy group) and R2 is fluorine atom, chlorine atom, trifluoromethyl group or a phenyl group which may be substituted with a 1-6C alkyl group or a 1-3C alkoxy group, provided that compounds in which R1 and R2 are same or mutually different and denote phenyl group, chlorophenyl group or tollyl group are excluded].
