Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The 2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,5-benzotiazepine derivative of formula I (R1WR3 are OH, lower, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, amino or halogen; X is O or S) or its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: 5-[3-(2-(2,6-Dimethoxyphenoxy)ethylamino)propionyl]-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro- 1,5-benzothiazepine fumaric acid salt.
USE: A hypotensor having vasodilating action.
PREPARATION: A 2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzothiazepine of formula II (A is amino or halogen) is made to react with a compound of formula III (B is halogen or p-toluenesulfonyl when A of the group of formula II is amino or B is amino when A is halogen).
