Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for stably isolating 2-(4-hydroxyphenoxy)propionic acid from a reaction product mixture in a good yield.
CONSTITUTION: 2-(4-Hydroxyphenoxy)propionic acid dicyclohexylamine salt and an optically active isomer thereof, and a method for producing the 2-(4- hydroxyphenoxy)propionic acid dicyclohexylamine salt from hydroquinone as a raw material, characterized by adding dicyclohexylamine to a reaction product mixture solution containing the produced 2-(4-hydroxyphenoxy)propionic acid and the hydroquinone of raw material and subsequently separating the 2-(4- hydroxyphenoxy)propionic acid dicyclohexylamine salt as crystals.
