Abstract:

To provide a new compound having highly sustainable selective COMT inhibitory potency, thus useful for treating Parkinson's disease.

This new compound is shown by the formula. This compound has the therapeutic merit of diminishing the O-methylation of catecholamine, thus having potentially valuable pharmaceutical properties in treating several central and peripheral nervous disorders including Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's disorder, gastrointestinal disorders, edema and hypertension.
