Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject compound useful for pesticides, medicines, and various kinds of recording materials, or as a raw material for these applications.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compound, i.e., a 3-aryl-5-hydroxyindole or a 1-site arylamino-substituted modification thereof. The former can be obtained by reducing the latter; whereas, the latter can be obtained by making a diazonium salt act on a 3-(1-arylethenyl)phenol derivative.
