Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive voltage from being applied to a capacitor and an excessive current from flowing to a switching element during control over the voltage across the capacitor up to a target voltage at the start of a three-phase equalizer.SOLUTION: A target voltage control part 4 adds a predetermined voltage to a reference voltage each time a control period is switched so as to set the reference voltage in steps up to a target voltage, and compares the reference voltage with a capacitor voltage Vdc in each control period. The target voltage control part 4 performs control to raise the capacitor voltage Vdc by placing a plurality of switching elements Q1-Q6 in operation in a next period when the value obtained by subtracting the capacitor voltage Vdc from the reference voltage is larger than a predetermined first threshold, and performs control not to place the plurality of switching elements Q1-Q6 in operation in the next control period when the value obtained by subtracting the reference voltage from the capacitor voltage Vdc is larger than a predetermined second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
