Abstract:
To provide a three-dimensional coordinate measuring apparatus which can suppress oscillation of a Y carriage and improve measurement accuracy.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional coordinate measuring apparatus has a Y carriage which is supported by two strut members on a machine platen. The two strut members have a first strut member having a drive mechanism driving the Y carriage in a Y axis direction and a second strut member that follows the first strut member and moves. The machine platen has a guide which has two side surfaces vertical to a top surface of the machine platen on the first strut member side and extends in the Y axis direction. The first strut member has two pairs of side surface supporting members that are freely slidably supported on the top surface of the guide and grip the guide from left and right. The second strut member has a supporting member which is supported by air bearing facing the machine platen surface. A position in the Y axis direction of the air bearing is between the two pairs of side surface supporting members.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
