Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple production method of ink discharge data that can suppress vertical stripes on a surface of a 3D formed object.SOLUTION: When forming a 3D object by layering an ink that solidifies to form 3D dots after being discharged, ink discharge data for discharging ink in each 3D object layer of the 3D object is produced employing formation data acquired for each 3D object layer. In order to produce this ink discharge data, halftone processing is performed on the formation data using a dithering method; and, in the halftone processing for each of adjacent overlapping 3D object layers, a dither mask is applied in a different layout to equivalent positions in each 3D object layer formed by layering the ink.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
