Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formulaI(R1 and R2 are H, halogen, lower alkoxy, nitro, amino, or CF3; R1 and R2 may together form alkylenedioxy or group of formula II; X is NH, O or a bond; Y is NH or O; m is 0W3; n is 0 or 1).
EXAMPLE: 4-Phenylcarbamoyloxy-2-pyrrolidinone.
USE: Hypotensive agent.
PROCESS: The compound of formulaIcan be prepared e.g. by reacting the compound of formula III (one of A and B is H and the other is carboxyl or its reactive derivative) with the compound of formula IV in a solvent such as dimethylformamide, etc. optionally in the presence of a base such as triethylamine, etc. at 10W30°C.
