Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formulaI(R is 1W5C alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 5'-O-(N-Propylcarbamoylalanyl)-2',3'-O-isopropylidene-5-fluorouridine.
USE: An antimalignant tumor agent, antiviral agent and immunological inhibitor having particularly improved safety.
PROCESS: A 5-fluorouridine derivative, e.g. a 2',3'-O-alkylidene-5-fluorouridine, is subjected to the ester bonding with an N-alkylcarbamoylalanine expressed by firmula II in an anhydrous solvent, e.g. benzene or chloroform, in the presence of a basic compound, e.g. a trialkylamine or pyridine, and a condensing agent, e.g. p-toluenesulfonyl chloride or thionyl chloride at 40°C or below and the protection group is then removed to give the compound expressed by formulaI.
