Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:6-Acetonylpurine nucleoside of formulaI.
USE: Antitumorigenic agents. It is expected to have an activity inhibiting denyldeaminase.
PREPARATION: 6-Thioinosine of formula II is reacted with a halogenoacetone to form 6-acetonylthioinosine of formula III and the product is subjected to desulfrization to give the compound of formulaI. The reaction between 6-thioisoisine and a halogenoacetone is conducted in a solvent under an alkaline condition. The desulfurization is carried out by acting triphenylphosphine on 6-acetonylthioinosine in the presence of a strong base.
