Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formulaI(R is H or 1W8C alkyl; R' is 1W5C alkyl; R1, R2 and R3 are H, 1W4C alkyl, 1W4C alkoxy, or halogen) and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 5, 6-Dihydro-6-methyl-4, 5-dioxo-4H-pyrano[3,2-c]quinoline-2-carboxylic acid.
USE: Remedy for allergic diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, etc.
PROCESS: The compound of formulaIcan be prepard, e.g. by reacting 3-acetyl-1- alkyl-4-hydroxy-2-quinolone of formula II with an oxalic acid diester, cyclizing the product in the presence of ab acid catalyst, converting the resultant carboxylic acid compound of formula III to carboxylic acid halide, and esterifying the halide with an alcohol.
