Abstract:
The 6 alpha -methyl-D-homo-corticoids have the general formula (I) in which the bond .... represents a single bond or a double bond and X is a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom or a bromine atom, Z is a hydrogen atom or, together with X, is a carbon-carbon bond, R1 is a formyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group or alkanoyl group which contains 2 to 8 carbon atoms, a benzoyl group or an alkoxycarbonyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and Y is a chlorine atom, a hydroxyl group, a formyl group, a benzoyloxy group or an alkanoyloxy group which contains 2 to 8 carbon atoms and may, where appropriate, be substituted by an alkoxy group containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and have pharmacological activity.
