Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compound represented by formula I (R1 is amino; R2 is a ≥1C alkylthio, alkylamino, dialkylamino, or R1 is methylamino; R2 is an alkylthio).

EXAMPLE: 4-Methylamino-3-methylthio-6-(pent-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one.

USE: A herbicide, a plant growth regulator, indicating good resistance to grain crops and cotton, used before/after germination, and can be mixed into soil before sowing.

PROCESS: 4-Amino-3-mercapto-6-(pent-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one of formula II is reacted with an alkyl halide such as an alkyl iodide in an alkaline solution to obtain the compound of the formula I in which R1 is an amino; R2 is preferably a 1-4C alkylthio.
