Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compd. expressed by formula I [wherein R1 is halogen, CN or CF3; R2 is H or halogen; R3 is halogen, CF3, OCF3, SCF3 or trifluoromethylsulfonyl; R4 is H or halogen; X is N or CR5 (R5 is R2); A is alkane-diyl which may be a branched chain; Z is CN or CO-Y (Y is halogen, OH, NH2, alkylamino, arylamino, hydrazino, alkylthio, arylthio, etc.].
EXAMPLE: (R)-α-(7-2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-naphthalen-2-yl-oxy)- propionic acid ethyl.
USE: A herbicide.
PREPARATION: For example, 7-(hetero)aryloxy-2-naphthols expressed by formula II are allowed to react with carboxylic acid derivs. expressed by formula III (Z1 is nucleophilic radical) in the presence of a proper acid acceptor and a diluent to obtain the compd. expressed by formula I.
