To provide a therapy method associated with a MAdCAM (mucosal addressin cell adhesion molecule) to an inflammatory intestinal disease.
The antibody includes a human antibodies and an antigen-binding portion thereof that specifically binds to human MAdCAM and that functions to inhibit MAdCAM. The human anti-MAdCAM antibody and an antigen-binding portion thereof are provided. The antibody that is chimeric, bispecific, derivatized, a single strand antibody or a portion of a fusion protein is provided. The isolated heavy and light chain immunoglobulin derived from human anti-MAdCAM antibody and the nucleic acid molecule encoding such an immunoglobulin are provided. A method of making a human anti-MAdCAM antibody and a compositions comprising the antibody and a method of using the antibody and the composition for diagnosis and treatment are provided. A gene therapy method uses a nucleic acid molecule encoding the heavy and/or light chain immunoglobulin molecule that comprise the human anti-MAdCAM antibody.
