PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money changer 100 and an automatic transaction method therefor which can prevent a customer from forgetting taking a dispensed transaction medium.SOLUTION: A money changer 100 includes components such as a touch panel 103 accepting an input operation regarding a transaction, a bill entry/exit slot 104 dispensing a transaction medium, a packaged coin dispensing slot 105, a coin dispensing slot 106, a receipt issuing slot 107, a card entry/exit slot 108, a main control unit 200 controlling each of the components previously described, and a hand detecting sensor 102 by which an user continuously input his/her intention of conducting the transaction.
