Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion-resistant ring having a good manufacturing property and good heat conductivity, made of a sintered alloy, and provided with a cooling path.
SOLUTION: This abrasion-resistant ring 10 is inserted into the ring groove section of an aluminum alloy piston 1, forms a top ring groove 3, and is made of a sintered alloy. An upper annular piece 11 forming a ring groove upper face and a ring groove bottom face upper section and a lower annular piece 12 forming a ring groove lower face and a ring groove bottom face lower section are connected to form the abrasion-resistant ring 10, and it is infiltrated with a copper alloy. The connection and infiltration can be concurrently applied in the infiltrating process of the copper alloy. A cooling cavity can be formed with the annular recesses formed on the faying surfaces of the upper annular piece 11 and the lower annular piece 12 of the abrasion-resistant ring 10, or an annular pipe can be arranged and fixed in the annular recesses formed on the inner periphery to form the cooling cavity.
