Abstract:
To provide a high-speed abrasive device by which a substantially higher removal ratio than a typical and usual ratio can be attained.
The subject high-speed abrasive device is equipped with a porous grinding wheel 2 and apparatus 10, 12 by which the grinding wheel 2 is fitted and the grinding wheel 2 is rotated at a peripheral speed as high as 80 m/s. A high-pressure coolant supply system 26, having one or more nozzle means 20 by which the coolant jetting in a high pressure is substantially directed toward a set point 19 positioned on the peripheries of the grinding wheel 2 and ahead of the abrasive point, is installed.
