Abstract:
To provide a method of producing an observation sample for mineral analyzing relatively easily without being affected by a level of skill of a worker even for an ore sample weak in water or a fragile ore sample.SOLUTION: A polishing method of an observation sample for mineral analyzing is a method to perform dry polishing on an ore sample, embedded in a resin, by hand work. After coarse polishing is performed on an ore sample as necessary using a polishing paper not coated with wax, the ore sample is polished using a polishing paper preferably made of a waterproof polishing paper coated with wax 12 on a surface side to such an extent that abrasive grains 11 are not buried, and final polishing is performed on the ore sample using a polishing paper, not coated with wax, with size of finer abrasive grains.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
