Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolute encoder capable of achieving a long service life of a battery by removing a film formed on electrodes of a battery with an easy method.SOLUTION: The absolute encoder includes: a discharge circuit for forcibly discharging the charge accumulated in a battery; a shut-off timer that monitors a period of time that the discharge circuit performs discharge operation; and a command generator that generates a discharge command by inputting a forcible discharge command and a discharge time. Upon detecting that a preset discharge time has elapsed, the shut-off timer terminates the forcible discharge.
