Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has easily foldable solid gathers and a high productivity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the article.
SOLUTION: In the absorbent article (urine collecting pad), three-dimensional gathers (G and G) are formed of gather sheets (13) provided on a surface sheet (10) along the longitudinal direction. This absorbent article is packed in a state where the article is folded at two or more folding sections provided along the widthwise direction. The gather sheets (13) are stuck to the surface sheet (10) by laying the sheets (13) flat on the sheet (10) at longitudinal fixing sections 133 and 134 corresponding to the folding sections.
