To obtain an absorbent article that is suitable for hygienic material articles such as a diaper, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence pad, a wiping cloth for wiping, etc., uses a nanofiber assembly and a highly water-absorbent resin, is thin and has excellent water holding property and water absorption rate.
The absorbent article uses a nanofiber assembly having 1×10-7 to 2×10-4 dtex number-average single fiber fineness and comprises a thermoplastic polymer and a highly water-absorbent resin having an amount of water absorption of 50-80 times its mass and has the structure of the nanofiber assembly in a first layer and the highly water-absorbent resin in a second layer. The nanofiber assembly is composed of a fiber structure in a form selected from the group consisting of a cotton web, woven fabric, knitted fabric, felt, paper and nonwoven fabric.
