Abstract:
To obtain an absorbent composition having excellent absorbing capacity (absorbing quantity, water holding quantity, absorbing speed, repeated absorbability or the like) with respect to blood as compared with a conventional water absorbable resin insufficient in the absorbing capacity of blood and to provide an absorbable article using the same.
The absorbent composition having excellent absorbing characteristics with respect to blood is obtained by treating a water absorbable resin with a surfactant having specific physical properties or the surfactant and carboxylic acids.
