To provide an absorbent and a sheet using the same for a human being and animals having a relatively high water absorbability with the use of wasted materials of sanitary articles.
The absorbent comprises an upper absorptive paper layer to form an upper surface, a lower absorptive paper layer to form a lower surface and a water-absorptive mixture layer containing crushed wasted plastic materials, crushed wasted pulp materials and a water-absorptive resin between the upper and the lower paper layers. The crushed wasted plastic materials, crushed wasted pulp materials and a water-absorptive resin between the upper and the lower paper layers are set together and molded into an integral article with forming an embossed pattern by an embossing process or forming a rough pattern by a molding process.
