PURPOSE: To eliminate a problem of an atmospheric contamination, to facilitate handling in a safety management, and to further reduce a running cost as compared with the case where an electric heater is used as a heat source for thermally regenerating absorbed liquid of a regenerator by rationally improving a structure for thermally regenerating the liquid.

CONSTITUTION: An absorption refrigerating machine sequentially circulates refrigerant through a regenerator 7, a condenser 8, an evaporator 8 and an absorber 6 to generate cold by an evaporator 5, and comprises a power-drive compression type heat pump 1, and absorbed liquid heating means H for thermally regenerating the liquid of the regenerator 7 by generated heat of the pump 1. The refrigerator further comprises cooling means C for cooling the liquid of the absorber 6 or the refrigerant of the condenser 8 according to generated cold of the pump 1.
