PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can transform an absorbent core in accordance with a shape of the buttocks and can prevent twists of the absorbent core when worn.SOLUTION: In an absorbent core 24, a plurality of recesses 4 are formed in the state that they are scattered in a vertical direction X and a horizontal direction Y in a core back part 24B positioned at the back of a central position of an absorbent article in the vertical direction, a center high-density area 55 which has a plurality of recesses and is high in recess area ratio is formed in a central part in the horizontal direction Y of the core back part 24B, and lateral low density areas 56 which have a plurality of recesses and are lower in recess area ratio than the central high-density area 55 are formed on both sides with the central high-density area 55 in between respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
