Abstract:

To shorten a time required for a casting-molding cycle when casting-molding a cylinder sleeve by a centrifugal casting method.

A chamber 140 is provided inside a housing 14 by a partitioning wall 142. A surface thermometer 154 supported by a support member 156 is stored inside the chamber 140. A rotary shaft 160 of a rotary motor is engaged with a through hole of a connection member 162 connected to the support member 156, and the surface thermometer 154 is approached or separated to/from a cylindrical mold 88 in accompaniment to tilting motion of the support member 156 under rotational action of the rotary shaft 160. The surface thermometer 154 is stored inside the chamber 140 at least when cooling water is sprayed, and a shutter member 146 is closed. When measuring a temperature of the cylindrical mold 88, the shutter member 14 is opened to bring the chamber 140 into an opened condition, and the support member 156 is inclined thereafter to make the surface thermometer 154 sliding-contact with an outer circumferential wall part of the cylindrical mold 88.
