Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of the title switchgear by a method wherein the ON/OFF control operation of a thyristor is performed by an output electric current, from a secondary winding at a current transformer, which is sent out and stopped so as to correspond to the shutting and opening operation of a switch.
CONSTITUTION: A secondary winding at a current transformer CTa is connected in series across the following: a gate Ga for a thyristor Tha in which a terminal Ta2 is connected to an output terminal 10' and a terminal Ta1 which is connected to a movable contact 6a3 at a short-circuit switch 6a. On the other hand, a secondary winding at a current transformer CTb is connected in series across the following: a gate Gb for a thyristor Thb in which a terminal Tb2 is connected to the output terminal 10; and a terminal Tb1 which is connected to a movable contact 6b3 at a short-circuit switch 6b. The thyristors Tha, Thb are made conductive by a secondary-winding output electric current which corresponds to an electric current flowing to primary windings Ca1, Cb1 at the current transformers CTa, CTb and which corresponds to a current transformation ratio. Thereby, the constitution of the switchgear is simplified, the failure rate of the switchgear is lowered and the cost of the switchgear can be reduced.
