Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which obtains display operation even when a picture element is refined.
SOLUTION: This plasma display panel includes a pair of substrates 1, 2 opposed by interposing a discharge space and a pair of sustained electrodes X, Y provided on an internal surface of a pair of the substrates 1, 2 to be arranged to separate by a discharge gap in a dielectric layer 5 having a flat surface. Here, a pair of the sustained electrodes X, Y are buried in the dielectric layer 5 so as to gradually shallow from an edge part on an opposite side to the discharge gap toward in the vicinity thereof. On the other substrate of a pair of the substrates 1, 2, a belt-shaped partition, partitioning the discharge space in each unit emitting region in the direction orthogonal to an extension direction of the sustained electrode X, Y, is provided, the partition and the dielectric layer 5 are made in close adhesion.
