Abstract:

To provide an acceleration control device for a synchrotron accelerator capable of controlling appropriately an acceleration voltage according to acceleration frequency in the synchrotron accelerator which adopts a cavity having no automatic synchronizing device.

The acceleration control device includes a reference pattern input means 21 to input an acceleration voltage criterion which becomes a target value of the acceleration voltage that is applied on a high frequency acceleration cavity constituting the synchrotron accelerator and accelerates charged particle beams, an acceleration pattern correction table 22 which records characteristics of a high frequency accelerator consisting of the high frequency acceleration cavity and a power supply device, an acceleration pattern calculation means 23 which calculates a correction acceleration voltage criterion to give to the high frequency accelerator 1 using the acceleration voltage criterion and data 22 of the acceleration pattern correction table, and a pattern memory device 24 which records and outputs the correction acceleration voltage criterion.
