Abstract:
To provide an acceleration correction system that can be retrofitted to a vehicle and is excellent in detection accuracy.SOLUTION: An acceleration correction system 1 detects the acceleration of an automobile 10, and comprises: a travel information acquisition unit 3 that can acquire travel information on the automobile 10; an acceleration sensor 4 that can detect accelerations in three axial directions orthogonal to one another; and a control unit 5 that is connected with these components. The control unit 5 corrects the accelerations in the three axial directions to the acceleration in the vertical direction and the acceleration in the horizontal direction based on the gravitational acceleration in a non-traveling state of the automobile 10, detects that the automobile 10 travels straight or travel on a curve based on the travel information acquired by the travel information acquisition unit 3 in a traveling state of the automobile 10, and corrects the acceleration in the horizontal direction to the acceleration in the fore-and-aft direction of the automobile 10 and the acceleration in the transverse direction of the automobile 10 based on the direction of travel of the automobile 10 acquired by the travel information acquisition unit 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
