Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an acceleration sensor, and fixing structure thereof, which exhibits some sensitivity even for an acceleration acting along the direction in parallel with or normal to the fixing plane and allows positive detection of the acceleration in these directions.
CONSTITUTION: The acceleration sensor comprises an acceleration detecting element 1 having a specified nonsensitive direction A, and an insulation case 2 housing the element 1, wherein the nonsensitive direction A is not in parallel with nor normal to the fixing plane, i.e., the bottom plane, of the insulation case 2. The fixing structure is characterized in that an acceleration sensor comprising the acceleration detecting element 1 having a specified nonsensitive direction A is arranged such that the nonsensitive direction A is not in parallel with nor normal to the fixing plane 3a.
