PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that is not operated rapidly even if an acceleration pedal 2 is strongly stamped on and a method for preventing accident to avoid increased number of severe accidents which occur in the case that older persons driving an automatic transmission car erroneously stamp on the acceleration pedal 2 strongly in place of the brake pedal under upset mental state to perform a rapid starting since a brake pedal and the acceleration pedal 2 are placed next to each other.MEANS: This invention provides a feature that a cushion 1 having a small hole 1A is fixed to a rear side of an acceleration pedal 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
