Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerometer which can deal with measurement of a wide range of frequency regions.SOLUTION: An accelerometer 1 includes: a vibrator 5 which has an arm member 3 rockable around a supporting shaft 2 and a plumb bob 4 disposed at the end of the arm member 3; an optical fiber sensor 6 disposed in the arm member 3 extending to the direction in which the vibrator 5 rocks (z direction); and an elastic member 7 disposed in the arm member 3 parallel to the optical fiber sensor 6. The accelerometer is designed to measure an acceleration based on a strain amount output from the fiber sensor 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
