Abstract:
PURPOSE: To constitute an engagingly locking member so that it can be used repeatedly and enhance the freedom of connector design in a connector of such a type as locking a contact inside by inserting a lock member from the side surface of a housing.
CONSTITUTION: A lock member 30 inserted into the recessed part 26 of the side wall 27 of a connector housing 20 so as to lock a contact 11 is provided with a rectangular opening 36 on the rear end surface of the lower wall part extending along its longitudinal direction. In the opening 36, a main engagingly locking arm 37 extending along the longitudinal direction of the lock member 30 from the wall for forming the opening 36 is integrally provided. The main locking arm is engagingly locked in a step part 26a in a recessed part 26, thereby, the step-off of a lock member 30 from a connector housing 20 is prevented.
