Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for alarming a user about a short of the account balance by taking account of an estimated amount to be charged to a credit card.SOLUTION: A bank system in which a host computer of a bank is connectable to a host computer of a credit company includes: means for recording information of a credit card with a bank account set as a direct debit account; means for acquiring an estimated amount to be charged to the credit card based on the credit card information; and means for receiving the account balance and the estimated amount to be charged to the credit card. The account balance management system compares the balance of the bank account, the estimated amount to be charged to the credit card, and a requested disbursement, determines whether the account balance is sufficient or not and, when the account balance is insufficient, displays an alarm while the user performs a payment operation if it is within a predetermined alarm display period.
