Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a phase digitizer which has got rid of demerit inherent in a conventional phase digitiser, by using a trigger circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A phase digitizer 20 to convert phase information of analog signal into digital indication includes a phase cumulator 21, which accommodates the increment of the phase angle of the reference signal, and a trigger circuit 24 which works in response to the input signal and sample signal and emits a strobe signal for transferring the phase angle increment accommodated in the cumulator 21 to a holding latch 22. The value of the holding latch 22 is transferred to an output latch 23, which makes digital display of the phase angle of the input signal.
