In the process for treating glass plates with acid by spraying an acidic solution 2 to the face of the glass plates, as they are horizontally and continuously conveyed with the conveyer 10, the tank 3 for showering or spraying the acidic solution is set above the conveyers for the glass plate 9 and the bottom of the spraying tank is performed uniformly at an equal interval from each other so that the level of the acidic solution fed by the feeder 20 may be kept at a constant and the acidic solution may naturally drip down through the perforated holes 4 on the surface of the glass plate uniformly.
