Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform an optimum characteristic correction according to use purposes, etc., in a device correcting the response characteristic of a reproduction system so that the response characteristic of the reproduction system may match with a desired characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: A correction characteristic arithmetic means 142 calculates a correction characteristic as the difference of a desired characteristic and a measured characteristic. An equalizer filer factor arithmetic means 144 performs the inverse Fourier transform for the correction characteristic and determines the corresponding impulse response. In that case, one inverse Fourier transform is arbitrarily selected and used from the linear phase processing inverse Fourier transform, the minimum phase processing inverse Fourier transform or an inverse Fourier transform of other algorithm according to use status, etc. An FIR filter factor is imparted as a level value at each location on the time base of this impulse response and is set to a convolution arithmetic unit 34, and the correction characteristic is imparted to a music signal to be reproduced.
