Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic wave element, a filter element, and a communication device that can improve a withstand power characteristic.SOLUTION: An acoustic wave element 1 of the present invention includes a piezoelectric substrate 2, an excitation electrode 3 including a plurality of electrode fingers 32 arranged on the piezoelectric substrate 2, and a ground layer 6. The electrode fingers 32 include a peripheral portion 32x and a main portion 32y situated inside the peripheral portion 32x viewed from above. The ground layer 6 includes a first region 6x overlapping with the peripheral portion 32x, and a second region 32x overlapping with the main portion 32y viewed from above, and thickness at the first region 32y is larger than thickness at the second region 32x.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
