Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The acridonecarboxylic acid derivative of formula I (R is H or lower alkyl; X is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen).
EXAMPLE: 2,2'-(1,4-Phenylenediimino)-bis(9-acridanone-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester).
USE: Pigment.
PROCESS: The objective compound of formula I can be prepared by the dehydrative oxidation of dehydroacridone compound of formula II. The starting compound of formula II is prepared easily by the reaction of 3-alkoxycarbonyl-2-N- allylamino-1,4-dihydro-9-acridone with a phenylenediamine compound.
