Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which gives a molded product excellent in heat resistance and flame-retardancy by incorporating resorcinol bis(diphenylphosphate) as a plasticizer and an acrylic monomer as a crosslinking agent with an acrylic ester resin.
SOLUTION: The plastisol composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic ester resin, 100-160 pts.wt. of a condensed phosphate such as resorcinol bid(diphenylphosphate) or the like as a plasticizer, 5-50 pts.wt. of an acrylic monomer as a crosslinking agent, and further a plurality of flame-retardants. Thus, the incorporation of resorcinol bis(diphenylphosphate) imparting carbon with film-forming ability, melamine phosphate as a flame retardant generating non- combustible ammonia gas when burned, and aluminum hydroxide and zinc borate evaporating water of crystallization when burned imparts flame- retardancy satisfying the UL 94 V-0 rating to a molding material comprising a plastisol of the acrylic ester resin and having a thickness of 0.8 mm.
