Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a resin suitable for the production of a liquid crystal device which can be driven at a low voltage and has a high response speed and a high electrical resistance. CONSTITUTION:A (meth)acrylic compound or a resin composition containing this compound is dissolved in a nonpolar solvent and treated with ion-exchanged water and/or a porous polar solid substance to obtain a purified (meth)acrylic compound or a purified resin composition containing the compound. A liquid crystal device is produced by using the purified product.
