Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active antenna system capable of retaining the communication quality even if the temperature difference arises among a plurality of signal processing parts.SOLUTION: An active antenna system comprises: a plurality of antenna elements; a plurality of signal processing parts, each having at least one of a variable phase shifter for regulating, in phase, radio signals transmitted and received by the plurality of antenna elements, and a variable attenuator for regulating the radio signals in amplitude; a plurality of temperature sensors for sensing temperatures of the plurality of signal processing parts respectively; an estimation part for estimating an output value of at least one device of an output phase of the variable phase shifter and an output amplitude of the variable attenuator at the sensed temperature of the signal processing part on the basis of the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor of each signal processing part; a calculating part for calculating respective relative outputs as differences in the output value between the signal processing parts corresponding to adjacent antenna elements of the plurality of antenna elements; and a control part for controlling the at least one device so that the calculated relative outputs each become a desired value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
