Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid composition for oral administration which rapidly releases an active ingredient and has improved stability during a melt extrusion process, as well as methods for producing the same.SOLUTION: The invention provides a rivaroxaban-containing composition produced by a melt extrusion process using rivaroxaban and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable polymer, where the rivaroxaban is in a form of amorphous or thermodynamically metastable crystal, and the pharmaceutically acceptable polymer is a vinylpyrrolidone-vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyethylene glycol-polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinyl acetate copolymer or a mixture thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
