Abstract:
To provide an active matrix organic EL display device and its manufacturing method.
On an insulating substrate 100 which is provided with a thin film transistor 125, a metal wire for driving the thin film transistor 125, a pixel electrode 130 connected to the thin film transistor 125 and a luminous layer 136 formed on the pixel electrode 130, a pattern 104 is formed of a material for achieving low reflectance while avoiding the overlap with the pixel electrode 130. The reflection of an external light from regions excluding the pixel electrode 130, namely from non-luminescence regions, is minimized to achieve a high contrast ratio.
